What is a sex positive approach to sex addiction?

I’ve heard the term sex positive. What is sex positive? What does that mean when treating sex addicts? That’s a very controversial question. For me, sex positive is something that’s not shaming. If a client comes to me and says that he feels shamed with masturbating then I have to address that with him and try to reduce that shame but for me sex positive is we can talk about sex without being ashamed of it. We can have sex without feeling dirty, without feeling bad about ourselves, without feeling disgusting or like monsters. We could experiment with sex. We could try new positions. We could try new acts. We could have fun with sex. I equate sex positivity with fun, with fun that doesn’t bring all of these negative emotions.
